We are seeking an Engineering Manager with at least 15 years of industry experience and 3-5 years in a management role, ideally as a leader who’s comfortable stepping into technical details while maintaining a strategic view. In our flat organizational structure, this role often requires a director’s mindset: one that balances high-level decision-making with hands-on involvement to support and inspire the team. Your work will include managing stakeholder expectations, fostering team motivation, and building consensus across remote and local teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Technical Oversight & Guidance: Actively engage in technical discussions to challenge decisions and ensure best practices, while being hands-on enough to understand team deliverables.
  • Leadership & Team Environment: Inspire and create a productive, collaborative, and positive work environment. Use excellent communication skills to create traction and alignment within teams.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Consensus Building: Partner effectively with stakeholders to balance their expectations with realistic timelines and deliverables. Skilled in securing consensus and agreements across functions.
  • Project & Time Management: Excel in navigating the pressures of high-stakes timelines. Skilled in setting accurate estimates and maintaining transparency on deliverables.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with other remote teams, fostering a cohesive approach to global project management and delivery.

Gevraagd wordt

  • Experience: 15+ years in software development or engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Technical Background: Strong foundation in engineering principles with a proven ability to contribute meaningfully in technical discussions. Experience in the .NET stack platform.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated skill in negotiating, communicating effectively, and building relationships across all levels.
  • Product Collaboration: Proven experience working hand-in-hand with Product teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication between engineering and product to achieve business objectives.
  • Adaptability"Able to thrive in a flat organizational structure, often stepping into a director-like role to guide strategic decisions.
  • Global Collaboration: Prior experience working with distributed teams and a proven track record of success in remote, cross-functional collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate complex issues with creative solutions and a strong sense of accountability.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a flat organizational setting.
  • Experience managing or directing teams within a larger corporate environment, transitioning
